American Museum of Natural History, NYC

A la Holden Caufield in Catcher in the Rye, we decided to go to the American Museum of Natural History to remember what it's like to be a kid again. We always have lots of fun in natural history museums and this was no exception.

Like any kid, my favorite part was the dinosaurs. You can see Jenn (silver jacket) near its legs.

Just to give you an idea of how big the dinosaur on the right is, the small one on the left is the same as the one in the picture above.

Dam, that is one big boat! Imagine rollin' (paddlin'?) with your posse down the river in this dreadnought. This thing made you an instant naval superpower!
This is a twenty man canoe used by the Native Americans in the region. That's a shaman in a beast costume/mask as the maidenhead. Jenn's in the background to give you a sense of scale (left, waaay back).
So big it was the only exhibit in the room.
